Fluid Connectors

Image
Fluid connectors are important parts of many systems, including refrigeration equipment. The two most common varieties of fluid connectors available on the market today are hydraulic couplings and hydraulic fittings. Part 1 of this article is going to cover two critical points to keep in mind when choosing fluid connectors. I will also discuss some of the best brands on the market for fluid connectors and other fluid control devices. This article is designed to help you make an educated choice when it comes to buying fluid connectors. One of the most common fluid connectors on the market are hydraulic hoses. Hydraulic hoses are typically utilized to connect a low pressure source to a high pressure source. Some hose assemblies have a sealed air gap, which allows pressurized air to be pumped into the hose. When pressure is applied to the hose, this air expands with the increased pressure and creates a vacuum that holds the fluid. This type of connector usually has a female adapter...

Main Fluid Connectors and Their Differentiating Features

Image
Choosing the correct fluid connectors can greatly enhance patient safety while maximising flow and sealing efficiency. With so many potential hazards and choices for connecting tubing in various medical applications, it's necessary to take a simple, repeatable approach for choosing the ideal connector. First, it's important to ensure that the connectors you're looking at are safe for use with the equipment being used, as this is often a significant factor in the overall success of the system. By performing an in-depth risk assessment and considering multiple factors, you should be able to ensure that you choose fluid connectors that will work for your specific applications. Here are some of the main types of fluid connectors, as well as their main differentiators. Hydraulic couplings: The most common type of fluid connectors available today are hydraulic couplings, which are used for both in-line and out-of-line applications. The hydraulic couplings are designed to provi...

Fluid Connectors Overview

Image
Advanced Fluid Connectors' primary product line is comprised of non-marring, precision-engineered, seamless-connector assemblies for liquid, gaseous, and vaporizing applications. Some of the most popular connector accessories include: Non-marring connector sleeves for refrigeration tubing, heating and cooling units, isolation fittings, expansion fittings, medical applications, water heaters, and pump connections. Many of the fittings are able to be installed without the use of any liquid connectors or fitting kits. All of the following products are engineered with the same high quality engineering as the company's other products. The wide range of connectors available makes it simple to find the correct connector to match the specifications and application. Connector couplings are available in a variety of different materials including brass, stainless steel, aluminum, fiberglass, and flexible. Flexible couplings are designed to reduce the stress on tubing seals and to elimina...

Hydraulic Components

Image
Hydraulic components are the fundamental elements of hydraulic machine equipment, classified into four main groups: hydraulic pumps, hydraulic control valves, hydraulic actuators and hydraulic fittings. This article mainly presents the features and classification of hydraulic components in hydraulic systems. The classification is based on the working principle, type of use, and design of hydraulic parts. The working principle of the hydraulic pump involves displacement of a fluid from a lower region to a higher one, and vice versa; this feature acts as its basic working principle in hydraulic systems. The other features of hydraulic parts include functionality, efficiency, reliability, durability, and availability. In the category of hydraulic components, the ones most commonly used are hydraulic pump, hydraulic circuit breakers, hydraulic control valve, hydraulic actuator, hydraulic control springs, and hydraulic brake booster. The remaining parts of a hydraulic circuit are not ...

Oil Accumulators

Image
While searching for cheap oil control products, especially after cornering, I have come across the Oil Accumulators & the Air Oil Inflators. It appears that there are basically two styles, the basic oil accumulator which is simply a cylinder which works purely off of air pressure in, and the more advanced air oil accumulators with a spring and ball inside of them. Each of these can be adjusted individually for different pressures. The only problem with the oil accumulators are that they tend to leak oil when not in use, and thus have to be used on a daily basis. The Air Inflator has a much fancier design to its mechanism, as it requires an electrical outlet in order to work, and does not require any other components in order to run. This makes it far more useful than oil accumulators for industrial uses, as you would not need to worry about leaking oil. The air inflator is made out of a strong tube and looks like a giant globe. Inside of the globe are the pump and controller...

A Few Things to Know About Hydraulic Components

Image
Tube fittings are also known as hydraulic components, because they are used in the hydraulic system to make it efficient. When you talk of hydraulic system then you basically include pump, pressure vessel, manifold, pump housing, piston and cylinder, etc. That's why these fittings get the name hydraulic system. The main purpose of these fittings is to regulate the pressure and flow of the fluid so that they function properly in the system. If you have a good pump then you can increase your productivity, but if your pump is not working properly then you may have to postpone your work for some more time. The purpose of these fittings is to maintain the pressure and flow of the fluid so that you can do your work smoothly. A pipe fitting generally consists of at least two sections, and the first section is called the flange. These fittings are found both in open and enclosed configurations. The design of this type of fitting includes a T-shaped section and the flat portion have an o...

Types of Fluid Connectors and Their Purposes

Image
Choosing the correct fluid connectors can enhance patient safety and improved user convenience while maximising flow and sealing performance. With so many potential hazards in and various choices for connecting tubing in various medical applications, it's important to have an easy and consistent approach for choosing the most appropriate connector solution. Connectors are essential in the correct application, but their suitability varies according to the application's requirements. With increasing global health and safety concerns, medical personnel have been more diligent in managing risk factors and implementing hazard management strategies in all workplace and clinical settings. When considering the selection of fluid connectors, one of the key factors is the compatibility of fittings with tubing. Different fittings provide different levels of resistance to flow, so when purchasing connector fittings, the correct rating should be selected for the application in question. I...
